EGE · AVON · BEAVER CREEK · BACHELOR GULCH

Beaver Creek is the closest major resort to Eagle County Regional Airport, and the one that most rewards a private car. The village sits behind a gate up a winding road, the lots don't allow overnight parking, and many of the best stays are tucked on the mountain in Bachelor Gulch or Arrowhead. Getting dropped at the door is simply the easiest way in.

The drive in numbers

  • Distance: about 29 miles to Beaver Creek Village
  • Time: about 30–40 minutes; Beaver Creek itself says roughly 30
  • Route: US-6 to I-70 east, off at Exit 167 (Avon), then up Avon Road and Village Road
  • Winter: no pass on this route; plan a little extra time when it's snowing, and remember the Traction Law on I-70 from September 1 to May 31

Avon and Edwards

Staying down valley? Edwards is about 22 miles from the terminal (roughly 30 minutes, off I-70 at Exit 163) and Avon about 26 miles (roughly 35 minutes, Exit 167). Both are short hops from Beaver Creek: Edwards is about four miles away, and from Avon the Riverfront Express Gondola runs straight up to Beaver Creek Landing.

Into the village and up the mountain

We drive you to the door, whether that's a hotel on the plaza, a residence in Bachelor Gulch or a home in Arrowhead. In Beaver Creek, overnight parking isn't allowed in the village lots or garages, which makes a rental car awkward for guests staying slopeside. The resort's free Village Connect shuttle handles trips within Beaver Creek once you're settled.
