The Best Restaurants in Vail and Beaver Creek

Our ranked guide to the best restaurants in Vail and Beaver Creek: four MICHELIN-recommended rooms, Zuma Vail, Tavernetta, cabin dinners and locals' spots.

Vail eats better than a ski town has any right to. The MICHELIN Guide has covered Vail and Beaver Creek since its first Colorado edition in 2023, and in the 2026 statewide selection four rooms here are Recommended. No restaurant in Eagle County holds a star or a Bib Gourmand, and we'd rather tell you that than dress the list up.

This is our curated list, cross-checked with the MICHELIN Guide and live Google ratings, and ranked on the cooking, the room, the service and how the evening feels. The order is the ranking; the sections only tell you where each place is.

Fall closures. Many Vail and Beaver Creek restaurants close for a few weeks in autumn and reopen between mid-November and mid-December. Check dates if you're visiting early in the season.

Booking windows. Holiday weeks and Presidents' Day fill first. Sweet Basil, for one, releases tables 30 days ahead; set a reminder.

Getting there. Vail Village to Beaver Creek is about 15–20 minutes by car, and Core Transit's free express links the two; nobody should drive home after a cabin dinner. Vail to Beaver Creek explains the options.

After dinner. For a drink before or after, see our après and nightlife guide.
