Where you sleep in the Vail Valley decides how your days go: whether you walk to the gondola or ride the bus, whether dinner is downstairs or twenty minutes away. This is our curated list, cross-checked with the MICHELIN Guide and live Google ratings. We rank hotels on the stay as a whole, including the location, the service, the rooms and how easy each one makes the rest of your trip.
Two hotels here hold a MICHELIN Key, one each: the Four Seasons and the Sonnenalp. Forbes Travel Guide rates the Four Seasons Four-Star; no Vail or Beaver Creek property is Five-Star. Not sure which base suits you? Our Vail Village vs Lionshead vs Beaver Creek guide compares them.
